The Willamette Valley has been the grass seed capital of the world for over a century. We've been farming the north end of it since 1967, long enough to watch the industry change around us several times over and stay steady through all of it.
What hasn't changed is how we approach the work. We grow our own seed in fields we've owned for decades. We clean and handle it ourselves. Every decision about quality gets made here, by people who have spent fifty years developing an eye for it.

Most grass seed passes through a lot of hands before it reaches a consumer. Brokers, distributors, regional warehouses. Each one adds time, cost, and distance between the seed and the soil it's meant for.
We built Blue Sky to change that. The seed you order was grown in our fields, cleaned in our facility, and shipped directly to you. No third-party handling other than independent testing. No sitting in a warehouse across the country. The chain from our farm to your lawn is as short as we can make it.
The Standard We Hold Ourselves To
Every lot tested. No exceptions.
Every lot we ship is independently tested for purity before it leaves our facility. Germination rate, purity percentage, other crop seed count. The results determine everything.
Seed that clears our highest threshold ships as Reserve. Seed that falls just short ships as Estate. Seed that doesn't meet either standard doesn't leave. That's been the rule since day one and it hasn't changed.
